Turmeric. Turmeric (haldi) has been a component of the average Indian diet for thousands of years. We have all heard our grandmothers say how good it is for our health.

Modern science can now back that up with studies showing the many benefits of including turmeric in our diet.

Curcumin, the most active of the curcuminoids, is now known to act as an anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and anti-aging agent. It helps in preventing and controlling hypertension, heart disease, arthritis, pollution-related lung damage, even cancer.

Pretty much every lifestyle disorder is positively affected by turmeric and you don’t need to do anything more than add a little haldi to your meals!

Oh, and one more thing: adding a little black pepper increases the absorption of curcumin!

So, add dash of turmeric and ensure your dishes are extra healthy, tasty, and full of flavor!
